What is BITSAT?
The Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS) Pilani is an all India Institution declared as Deemed to be University. Admissions to all the Integrated First Degree programmes of BITS, Pilani, at Pilani campus, Goa campus, and Hyderabad Campus for the academic year 2024-25 will be made on the basis of a Computer based Online Test conducted by BITS, Pilani. This test will be referred to as 'BITS Admission Test - 2024', in short as BITSAT-2024.
BITSAT 2024 Details:
- BITSAT Exam will be conducted in 2 phases.
- Phase I will be from May 19-24, 2024.
- Phase II will be from June 22-26, 2024.

BITSAT 2024 - Eligibility:
- For admission to all the above programmes except B.Pharmacy: Candidates should have passed the 12th examination of 10+2 system from a recognized Central or State board or its equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics and adequate proficiency in English.
- For admission to B.Pharmacy: Candidates should have passed the 12th examination of 10+2 system from a recognized Central or State board or its equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology and adequate proficiency in English. However candidates with PCM may also apply for Pharmacy program.
- The candidate should have obtained a minimum of aggregate 75% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects (if he/she has taken Mathematics in BITSAT) or a minimum of aggregate 75% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects (if he/she has taken Biology in BITSAT) in 12th examination, with at least 60% marks in each of the Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/ Biology subjects.
- Only Students who are appearing for 12th examination in 2024 or who have passed 12th Examination in 2023 are only eligible to appear in the BITSAT-2024 test
Direct Admission to Board Toppers:
- the Institute will give direct admission to first rank students of all the central and state boards to the programme of their choice, irrespective of their BITSAT-2024 score.
- * Only citizens of a country other than India can apply
- Candidate should have passed qualifying examination (Grade 12) with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics with adequate proficiency in English conducted by the country's Board of Higher/ Senior Secondary Education, including those in India, or its equivalent examination such as the “A” levels (conducted by Cambridge International), the International Baccalaureate, etc.
- Candidate should have obtained a minimum of 75% aggregate marks (or 7.5 grade on 10 - point scale), in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in the above examination and should have scored at least 60% marks (or 6.0 grade on 10-point scale) in each of Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics
- Candidate should have a minimum aggregate score of 1160 (out of maximum of 1600) in SAT (new format) and also a minimum aggregate score of 1600 (out of maximum of 2400) in SAT Subject Tests in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics Level 2.
- Candidates should apply to the BITSAT-2024 in Online mode only.
- Candidate should choose their exam date in the official website on given date.
- A computer based online exam will be conducted for BITSAT-2024
- There will be a negative mark of 1 for every wrong answer
- Test Duration: 180 mins

- First rank students of all the central and state boards in India for the year 2024 will be given direct admission to the program of their choice irrespective of their BITSAT-2024 score
- In addition to applying and appearing for BITSAT-2024, candidates have to also apply for admission to BITS giving details of their 12th marks and preferences to different degree programmes offered at given date.

| If a candidate answers all the 130 questions (without skipping any question), the candidate will have an option of attempting 12 (twelve) extra questions, if there is still time left. These extra questions will be from Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/Biology and Logical reasoning only; three questions from each of them. Further, once the candidate has opted for extra questions, he/she cannot go back for correction of any of the earlier answered 130 questions. | |||
