The LNMIIT was founded in 2002 as a joint venture between Govt. of Rajasthan and Lakshmi & Usha Mittal (LUM) Foundation as a philanthropic initiative. With the emphasis on quality and rigour in education, the institute began its first academic session in July 2003 and was granted Deemed-to-be-University status by UGC in 2006 under the De-Novo Category.

Admissions to all the Undergraduate Programmes will be through the following modes:

Eligibility Criteria:

JEE Mains:

• The applicant must be appearing in JEE (Main) 2019 Examination conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA).
• The applicant must have secured an aggregate of at least 60% Marks or equivalent Grade in Class 10^th Examination.
• The applicant must have secured an aggregate of at least 60% Marks or equivalent Grade in Class 12^th Examination.
• The applicant must have secured an aggregate of at least 60% Marks or Equivalent Grade in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in Class 12^th Examination.

For DASA:

• The applicant must have a minimum valid score of 1440 in SAT Subject Tests (Subjects: Mathematics Level 2, Physics, and Chemistry).
• The applicant must have secured an aggregate of at least 60% Marks or equivalent Grade in Class 10^th Examination.
• The applicant must have secured an aggregate of at least 60% Marks or equivalent Grade in Class 12^th Examination.
• The applicant must have secured an aggregate of at least 60% Marks or Equivalent Grade in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics in Class 12^th Examination or equivalent.

Selection Procedure:

JEE (Mains):

• The LNMIIT will draw a Merit List, solely on the basis of total percentile obtained in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in JEE (Main) 2019 Examination, of only those applicants who have applied to the LNMIIT for admission and fulfill the Eligibility Criteria mentioned above.
• A minimum Cut-off individually for Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as obtained in the JEE (Main) Examination, as well as the total JEE (Main) Percentile shall be considered while preparing the Merit List.
• The admission, in this category, will be based on the Merit List drawn by the LNMIIT considering the above-mentioned criteria.

For DASA:

• The LNMIIT will draw a Merit List, on the basis of SAT Subject Score, of only those applicants who have applied to LNMIIT for admission and fulfill the Eligibility Criteria mentioned above.

Residential Requirements for DASA:

• The applicant must be a Foreign National/ a Person of Indian Origin residing outside India.
• A Foreign National may have completed the qualifying examination in any country (including India).
• However, for a person of Indian origin, she/ he must have completed her/his Class 11^th and 12^th or equivalent from outside India.
