What is CMC ?

Christian Medical College and Hospital, (CMC)Vellore is a private, minority-run educational and research institute in Vellore, Tamil Nadu, For the academic year 2018 CMC released notification for admission into its MBBS and B.Sc Health Programmes.

Courses Offered:

Eligibility:

• Age: candidates should have completed the age of 17 years on or before 31 Dec 2018 (max. age limit 40 years for AHS Degree Courses and 30 for BSc Nursing and 35 for BSc Nursing SC/ST)
• Should have completed 10+2 or equivalent examination

Application Procedure:

Mode of Application: Online

Application Fee: Basic administrative fee of Rs.800 + MBBS, BSc (Nursing) & AHS Degree Courses - Rs. 500/- per course

• After completing the online application, Relevant enclosures should reach the Office of the Registrar by post
• Other enclosures:
  * For SC,ST and christian candidates
  1. Copy (not original) of Community/caste certificate, duly signed by Dy. Tahsildar or District Magistrate.
  2. Application form for Undergraduate College Sponsorship for Christians along with required enclosures/certificates
  3. Application form for College of Nursing Sponsorship along with required enclosures/certificates

Admit cards:

• There is no separate entrance exam for MBBS . Selection will be done by purely based on NEET-2018 merit.
• Hall Tickets for B.Sc courses will be available for download on the CMC website 1 week before the examination

BENGALURU, BHUBANESWAR, CALICUT, CHENNAI, DELHI, ERNAKULAM, GUWAHATI, HYDERABAD, KOLKATA, KOTTAYAM, LUCKNOW, MADURAI, MUMBAI, NAGERCOIL, PUDUCHERRY, SALEM, THIRUVANANTHAPURAM, VELLORE & VIJAYAWADA.

Selection Process:

For MBBS:

• All registered applicants have to submit their UG NEET 2018 Score at CMC website, before the last date specified
• The students who are applied for CME vellore, they need be apply for Tamilnadu MBBS state counselling also.

Mode of Exam: (Step-1): Online

For UG courses:

• All applicants should qualify in the computer based online test(Step-1). There are 60 questions each in Physics, Chemistry and Biology (120 minutes total time)
• Candidates will be short-listed for Step-2 at Vellore, based on Step 1 - test.

Sponsorship:

• The aim of the Christian Medical College, Vellore is to train individuals for service in needy areas especially in Christian mission hospitals. To this end, Christian students are encouraged to apply, to be considered under the sponsored category.
• If the candidate get sposnsorship from the CMC recognised churches(available in CMC website), then he/she will be elligible for sponsorship seat or else they are eligible for All India Open Category

Sponsorship Documents to be sent For Christians:

1. Application for Sponsorship under the category of Undergraduate College Sponsorship for Christians (Annexure IV of Bulletin)
2. A certificate from the Pastor of the candidate?s Church that the candidate has been a member of the Church for a duration of not less than 10 years (Annexure VI of Bulletin)
3. Baptism / Confirmation certificate
