National Institute of Fashion Technology Entrance Examination (NIFTEE) 2026 Notification Released

  • The National Testing Agency (NTA) has been entrusted by the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) to conduct the NIFTEE – 2026 for admission to various Undergraduate (UG), Postgraduate (PG), NLEA (Lateral Entry), Artisans, and Ph.D. programmes for the Academic Session 2026–27.

NIFTEE–2026 Stage 1 will be conducted for the following programmes:

  • Admissions to UG Programmes, namely Bachelor of Design (B.Des.) and Bachelor of Fashion Technology (B.F.Tech.), will be based on GAT (General Ability Test) and/or CAT (Creative Ability Test).
  • Applications under the Artisans Category (for B.Des.) will also be accepted as per the provisions specified by NIFT.
  • Candidates belonging to NRI/Foreign National/OCI/PIO/SAARC category (categories) may apply as per the norms laid down in the NIFT Admissions Guidelines – 2026. Their admissions shall be processed by NIFT based on the prescribed criteria.

B.Des. General Ability Test (GAT),
Creative Ability Test (CAT)		 Shortlisted based on the entrance examination, followed by a Situation Test
B.F.Tech. General Ability Test (GAT) Shortlisted based on the GAT
B.F.Tech. and B.Des. General Ability Test (GAT),
Creative Ability Test (CAT)		 Separate Common Merit Ranks (CMRs) will be generated for:
B.Des.: Based on entrance exam results + Situation Test
B.F.Tech: Based on GAT Candidates applying for B.F.Tech. with Mathematics can also enroll for B.Des. by taking CAT along with GAT (not applicable for NLEA).
