What is AIIMS ?

The All India Institutes of Medical Sciences(AIIMS) are a group of autonomous public medical colleges of higher education in India. For the academic year - 2018, Applications are invited for Registration in the prescribed form through online mode only for the Entrance Examination for admission to the MBBS Course at AIIMS, New Delhi and Eight other AIIMS (Patna, Bhopal, Jodhpur, Bhubaneshwar, Rishikesh, Raipur, Guntur (Andhra Pradesh) & Nagpur (Maharashtra).

Eligibility:

Age
  • Should have attained or will attain the age of 17 (seventeen) years as on the 31st of December of the year of admission (2018)
  • Candidates born on or after 2nd January, 2002 are NOT eligible to apply.
Academic Qualifications
  • Should have passed the 12th Class under the 10+2 Scheme/Senior School Certificate Examination (CBSE) or Intermediate Science (I.Sc.) or an equivalent Examination of a recognized University/ Board of any Indian State with ENGLISH, PHYSICS, CHEMISTRY and BIOLOGY as subject.
  • Candidates awaiting for results in 2018 are also eligible to apply AIIMS-2018
Minimum Marks
  • The minimum aggregate of the marks in ENGLISH, PHYSICS, CHEMISTRY and BIOLOGY obtained in the qualifying examination required for appearing in this examination are :
  • General and OBC candidates: 60% SC/ST/OPH Candidates: 50%

  • No modifications can be entertained after the submission of the form.
  • Fee can be paid by using NetBanking/Debit Card/Credit Card.
  • Candidates can also check the status of their application whether rejection/deficiencies from Tuesday, 20th March, 2018
  • The last date for submission of AIIMS-2017 application form is Monday, 5th March, 2018 at 5:00 PM

Admit Cards:

  • A downloadable admit card will be hosted for all the eligible candidates on website www.aimsexams.org, from Thursday, 10th May, 2018. All the candidates must take a printout of the same.

Exam Pattern:

Mode of Exam: Computer Based Test (Online)

Duration: 31/2 Hrs.

  • AIIMS-2018 Online Exam will be conducted on Saturday & Sunday, 26 & 27 th May-2018
  • The Online (CBT) Entrance Examination will be conducted in two shifts:
    • Morning Shift / First shift : 09:00 AM to 12:30 PM
    • Afternoon Shift / Second shift 03:00 PM to 06:30 PM

Syllabus:

  • The general standared of the AIIMS Entrance Examination will be that of 12th class under the +2 Scheme/Intermediate Science.
