What is SMIT ?

• SIKKIM MANIPAL INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY(SMIT) Engineering Entrance Exam 2018
• Sikkim Manipal University(SMU) is a funded, co-educational, public-private university located in Gangtok, Sikkim, India. SMU inviting applications from the elligible candidates for admission into Engineering courses for the academic year 2018.

• Information Technology
• Civil Engineering
• Computer Science and Engineering
• Electrical and Electronics Engineering
• Electronics and Communication Engineering
• Mechanical Engineering

Eligibility:

• Passed (10+2) or equivalent with Physics & Mathematics as compulsory subjects and Chemistry or Computer Science or Biotechnology or Biology, as one of the optional subjects. They must have secured a minimum of 50% (45% for SC/ST/OBC) marks in aggregate in these subjects to be considered for selection.
• Candidate with a diploma in the appropriate branch of engineering awarded by a State Board of Technical Education, and with at least 50% (45% for SC/ST/OBC) in aggregate in diploma is also eligible for admission to B Tech Curriculum.

• Through offline: Candidates need to download application forms from the website or Applications can be available at the SMU Campus
• Candidates need to send the filled application of Sikkim Manipal Unversity (SMU) to Chairman Admissions (Technical Campus), SMIT, Majhitar, Rangpo - 737 132, Sikkim enclosing DD drawn in favour of "Sikkim Manipal University" payable at "Gangtok".

Admit Cards:

• Candidates must download the admit card from the official website of sikkim manipal University.

Exam Pattern:

Mode of Exam: Offline

• Eligible candidates will have to appear for one of the entrance examinations depending upon the category under which they are seeking admission. Entrance Test: JEE, MU-OET or SMIT Offline Test

Admission Procedure:

• Candidates will be invited for counselling session based on the score obtained in All India JEE-MAINS, MU-OET and SMU offline test.

Scholarships:

• Candidates selected for BTech course with a top rank of the respective merit lists are offered merit-cum-means scholarship.
