KEAM, Kerala Engineering Agricultural Medical is an entrance examination for admissions to various professional degree courses in the state of Kerala

Important instructions:

  • There will not be state level entrance examination(KEAM) for the Medical and Allied Courses (MBBS, BDS, Ayurveda, Homoeopathy, Siddha, Unani, Agriculture, Veterinary, Fisheries and Forestry).
  • Candidates desirous of seeking admission to Medical and Allied Courses must necessarily qualify in the NATIONAL ELIGIBILITY CUM ENTRANCE TEST - UG 2017 (NEET-UG 2017)
  • Candidates desirous of seeking admission to Architecture courses must qualify in the National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) conducted by the Council of Architecture.
  • However, preparation of the kerala state rank lists and the Centralized Allotment Process (CAP) for both Medical and Engineering streams will be done by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE), Kerala. Therefore, candidates for Medical & Allied courses must necessarily apply online to both the CBSE (for NEET-UG 2017) and the CEE, Kerala (for KEAM 2017), through the respective online application portals.
  • Similarly, Architecture candidates must apply for KEAM-2017 in addition to applying and appearing for NATA conducted by the Council of Architecture.

Eligibility:

  • Nativity:

    - Only Indian citizens are eligible for admission to Professional courses unless otherwise notified. Persons of Indian Origin (PIO)/ Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) will also be treated at par with Indian citizens for the limited purpose of admission. However PIO/OCI candidates will not be eligible for any kind of reservation.

    - All the Kerala Candidates are eligible for all category seats in Kerala. But Non Kerala Candidates are not eligible for admission to Medical and Allied Courses including MBBS/BDS and for admission to Government Engineering Colleges.

    - But Non Kerala Candidates are eligible for admission into Private/Self Financed Engineering Colleges in Kerala

  • Qualifying Examination:

    Candidates who have passed Higher Secondary Examination, Kerala, or examinations recognised as equivalent thereto, with 50%

  • Age:

    Applicants should have completed 17 years of age as on the 31st December 2017. No relaxation in the minimum age will be allowed. There is no upper age limit for KEAM-2017.

Important Note:

  • After completion of Online application, Send the Printout of application and supporting documents to the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations
    Affix a photograph of the applicant same as the photograph uploaded on the online application duly attested by the Head of the Institution which he/she studied last or by a Gazetted Officer, these documents to be sent to the Office of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations, 5th Floor, Housing Board Buildings, Santhi Nagar, Thiruvananthapuram - 695 001
